We’re less than two weeks out from the iPad launch, so it’s no surprise that a plethora of companies have begun revealing tidbits about their respective apps. Late last night Amazon did just that by announcing the “Kindle Apps for tablet computers including the iPad”.



Sweet 16 BRACKET: Sixteen NCAA Teams Remaining In March Madness 2010

The Sweet 16 bracket has been revealed and these ’sweet’ sixteen teams will narrow down to eight by Friday night.

The 16 teams remaining in NCAA Bracket 2010 include four lower seeds: a 9 (Northern Iowa), 10 (St. Mary’s), 11 (Washington) and 12 (Cornell). Three No. 1 seeds are still playing (Kentucky, Syracuse, and Duke), while top-ranked Kansas was ousted in the second round.

Colorado State Trooper Pulled Over; Driver Handcuffed And Arrested

DOUGLAS COUNTY – The driver of a Colorado State Patrol car was pulled over and handcuffed Monday morning, but officials have released few details about the incident.

SKY9 flew above the area of westbound C-470 and Santa Fe just after 7 a.m. where the patrol car was stopped by Douglas County Sheriff’s deputies.



Need Help Understanding K-1 Entries for F1040

IRS Partner’s Instructions for Schedule K-1 are hard to understand for non-tax professionals like me.  I own but do not materially participate in several publicly traded partnerships.  What boxes are relevant for me in establishing whether I have an overall passive income gain or loss in each PTP?  As a passive investor, if there is an overall loss in any PTP, the loss should be carried forward; in this case, are there any reporting requirements for any items other than Part III, boxes5 & 6a&b?  I am also having a hard time understanding which items affect my ending capital account in Part II box L.  Finally, several PTPs show nonrecourse entries in Part II box K; what are these, and is any reporting required by me?  Henry

A new cruise off the Southern California coast has sightseers trading whales and dolphins for smokestacks and oil.

The Urban Ocean Boat Cruise, run by the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach and Harbor Breeze Cruises, aims to show the environmental effects on coasts and harbors of fishing, industry and other human activities.



Reading Rainbow May Return To TV

“Reading Rainbow,” the popular children’s show that ran from the mid-80’s until 2006, may return, according to the show’s host LeVar Burton via his Twitter account. The Emmy Award winning television show, which aired on PBS, featured celebrities reading books as well as other segments about books and reading, and each episode would include brief recommendations by kids for kids.

In a tweet on March 19, LeVar Burton said:

Here’s your NCAA Bracket 2010 Update, including an updated schedule, leading up to the Sweet 16, which begins later this week.

The 16 teams remaining in NCAA Bracket 2010 include four lower seeds: a 9 (Northern Iowa), 10 (St. Mary’s), 11 (Washington) and 12 (Cornell). No. 1 seeds Kentucky, Syracuse, and Duke are still playing, while top-ranked Kansas was ousted in the second round.
